Instructions on how to recover the VIPER830 BIOS using the emergency disk
1. Remove the battery jumper W8
2. Insert the Emergency disk in the Floppy drive attached to the VIPER830
3. Power on the board. (Note that no VGA is present during this procedure.)
The board should look directly on the Floppy drive (see activity LED)
4. Wait until the Emergency process is complete, there won't be any display during the process
Boot block flash update will be completed when you will see POST code 55 (when using a POST code card)
or hear the associated beep code or when the floppy drives stops.
5. Power down the board, set your battery jumper and power up the board.

Your VIPer830 boot block flash BIOS should be correctly programmed and the system should run properly.

If you see POST code 22, 33 or 44, an error has occurred. You should repeat the emergency procedure.
If repeated attempts at updating the boot block flash fail, that is, you are unable to generate POST code 55,
contact our Technical Support department.
